Each spring semester the School of Communication and Media offers a travelling production course based around spring break. Spring 2021 focused on the city of New Orleans and its unique arts, culture and precarious position in facing global climate change. Spring 2022 will focus on climate change, abortion rights, and gun violence in the state of Florida.
The School of Communication and Media also organizes faculty-led summer study abroad courses. Past programs have included projects in Italy, Spain, Sicily, France, Key West, Scotland, Greece, Malawi, Jordan and Tunisa.
Plans are underway for 2023 media study in Prague and Scotland.
